Join Strike Fighter Facility

Challenge
The F-35B Joint Strike Fighter is one of the most elite performance aircraft in the world. So when the Marine Corps needed a new facility to provide six full-mission and six deployable-mission flight simulators for the aircraft, the standards were exceptionally high. Nearly every product used in the construction of the facility had unique performance criteria that make ordering and delivery much more complicated than on a traditional job.
Solution
American Direct and its associated company American Construction Services (ACS) were hired to provide and install product for all of the openings in the $19.1 million facility. Specifications for a number of the doors required blast-resistance as well as high levels of sound transmission control, which meant that the openings products were significantly bulkier than standard product. ACS arranged to have the oversized and double doors shipped in special deliveries with no more than five items loaded into each semi-truck.
